Whether
she
is
seated
at the piano, strumming her old Gibson guitar, beating a
drum or raising her voice to the microphone, composer and songwriter
Heather Pierson is right at home. On her own record label, Vessel
Recordings, she has produced and released 4 CDs to date and is
receiving international distribution. Vessel's most recent release,
"Between Lives", is a collaboration with Alfred Lund of One Heart
Drums, which FACE Magazine declared "transcends definitions like new
age or world music... Pierson and Lund have created a work that is
stirring and memorable." ROAD

piano at age 5, Heather Pierson has performed professionally for most
of her life. Both solo and with an ensemble, Heather has toured across
the United States and has shared the stage with such well-known artists
as Paul Winter, Samite of Uganda, and has made appearances with Koch
Records artist Maia Sharp, folk legend Jonathan Edwards, and rock
superstar Meatloaf. Having performed in many different venues, from
classical recitals to coffeehouses, smoky bars to sacred ceremonies,
Heather brings to her own original music her versatility and wide range
of abilities and a unique sense of how to appeal to audiences of all
ages.

Critics
have
raved
about
Heather's work, including Carl McColman of New Age
Voice Magazine, who writes, "Pierson has a lovely and self-assured
voice. [her] lyrics are positive. all imbued with a love for rhythm,
community, and nature." Her recordings are drawing praise from all
over, including from Kim White at Music Design, who writes that
Heather's music is "very good and well-produced". And NAPRA Review says
that "her clear diction serves the lyrics well, and her mezzo-soprano
voice is particularly sweet."
