ABOUT HEATHER PIERSON Whether she is seated at the piano, strumming her old Gibson guitar, beating a drum or raising her voice to the microphone, composer and songwriter Heather Pierson is right at home. On her own record label, Vessel Recordings, she has produced and released 4 CDs to date and is receiving international distribution. Vessel's most recent release, "Between Lives", is a collaboration with Alfred Lund of One Heart Drums, which FACE Magazine declared "transcends definitions like new age or world music... Pierson and Lund have created a work that is stirring and memorable." Starting with her first piano at age 5, Heather Pierson has performed professionally for most of her life. Both solo and with an ensemble, Heather has toured across the United States and has shared the stage with such well-known artists as Paul Winter, Samite of Uganda, and has made appearances with Koch Records artist Maia Sharp, folk legend Jonathan Edwards, and rock superstar Meatloaf.
